Warming Threatens Economic Growth

Boediono’s quotes a Stern study in 2006 which cited
that the gross domestic income can go down to 1 percent due
to extreme climate conditions. If it becomes worse, it can
even cause up to 20 percent decline in the per capita income.
Boediono further said the government and also the business
world must coordinate and assign tasks to adjust and manage
the global costs to developing countries.
According to Boediono every developing country must have
an agreement to create a program that can allow investment
to grow and support technology transfer to developing countries.
In the Bali’s road map on global warming, he said, “the
financial provisions and incentives are aimed at expanding
an environmentally-friendly technology transfer from advanced
countries to developing countries.”
