5 Days 4 Nights Raja Ampat

(Kri Island, Paiynemo Island, Arborek, Mios Kon, Mansuar)

Day 1: Sorong – Kri Island
Welcome to Sorong! Our representative will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the harbor to board the Sea Safari Cruises vessel. A welcome drink will be served to welcome you on board and introduction and safety procedure briefing will take place while we sail on the way to our first destination, Kri Island.
We will go ashore to visit Swing Kirai Island where you can observe many types of exotic birds. After a short trek along a jungle path, we will settle in at a small patch in the forest where we will find the Red Birds of Paradise performing their mating dance. These birds are endemic only to Waigeo Island and this region. Later in the afternoon, we will sail to Kri Island as one of the top snorkelling areas and great beaches in north Raja Ampat that you can’t miss. The coral and sloping reef in Kri is literally swarming with Jacks, Barracudas, Bat Fish, Black Tip Sharks, Turtles, Bumphead Parrotfish and thousands of smaller reef fish.

Day 2: Piaynemo Island

Piaynemo is a small cluster of islands that are the absolute epitome of paradise. The views are spectacular and you’ll be astounded with the clarity of the water, the stunningly lush islands dotted around, and the marine and bird life that live here. It contains some of the most beautiful coral reefs in Raja Ampat, these remote reefs are bursting with colour and life. This is also a good opportunity to trek to one of the most famous lookouts in the region. The island offers a mesmerizing view of hills cluster from the top. From the viewpoint, you’ll see small islands rising up out of crystal-clear water. Snorkelling in this area offers a fantastic coral and a huge amount of fish underneath the stunning turquoise coloured waters.

Day 3: Arborek

On day three, we will cruise to Arborek where you can snorkel around a jetty which is famous for the huge schools of fish that shelter beneath it, and also for the colourful soft corals that cover its piles. There’s good snorkelling from almost anywhere on the island, but the reefs around the island’s eastern end are particularly rich. After snorkelling, we will have a vilage tour around the Arborek village where there are only around 40 families (198 people). The community of the villagers are well-known for the traditional handicraft industry of hats and ‘Noken’ string bags.

Day 4: Mios Kon

The locals often call this one the Bat Island. As the name suggests, tons of bats live in that island. For those who want to see the bats, there are some caves to explore. Some of them also live in the tree. They sleep at noon and go for hunting at night. Apart from bats, many birds are also seen there. Witnessing those creatures is indeed a prime activity to do in the island. Despite the secluded location, the island holds tons of beauty, especially the nautical views. The serene beach is mesmerizing and the sand has soft texture and stunning color. When it comes to the sea, it is clear and calm. The color is beautiful and it becomes the home of lots of fish species. Some majestic corals are also scattered underwater.

Day 5: Mansuar

Just like at Kri, the main attractions at Mansuar are its rich reefs. The marine life below Yenbuba jetty is remarkable, and the reef between the jetty and the island’s southeastern tip is usually swarming with fish. Long hikes are also possible, and Mansuar’s jungles are home to a rich array of birds and other wildlife. Another point of interest would be the nearby Yenpapir beach. This beautiful coast features white sand and crystal seawater where you can unwind and relax while enjoying the rejuvenating breeze.
